The Editor-in-Chief has retracted this article. Following post-publication concerns raised regarding substantial overlap with previously published material, the journal conducted an editorial investigation. The investigation included a review of the published article, the earlier article by Alireza Vahidi, “Injective dimensions of local cohomology modules,” Bulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, 54(4), 1331-1336, 2017, the author’s response, internal editorial assessments, and evaluations by independent anonymous external experts.

The investigation found substantial unattributed textual and structural overlap with the earlier article. The overlap concerns not only terminology or standard notation, but also the formulation, order, proof structure, and presentation of several central lemmas, theorems, corollaries, and proofs. Several results in the retracted article correspond to special cases or closely rewritten versions of results appearing in the earlier article.

Based on the investigation’s findings, the Editor-in-Chief no longer has confidence that the article satisfies the journal’s requirements for originality and proper attribution. The article is therefore retracted in order to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

The journal’s decision was informed by its policies on publication ethics and integrity and by COPE guidance on retractions. The original article remains available online in order to preserve the scholarly record, but the PDF version has been digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted” and is clearly linked to this retraction notice.

The author was contacted regarding the concerns and provided an initial response. The final editorial decision and the basis for the decision were communicated to the author, and the author was given an opportunity to provide a final response before implementation of the retraction. No further response was received within the specified period.
