Editorial Independence and Journal Management

The Journal of Algebra Combinatorics Discrete Structures and Applications is committed to editorial independence, transparent journal management, and responsible scholarly publishing. Editorial decisions are made on the basis of scholarly merit, relevance to the journal's aims and scope, technical correctness, originality, ethical compliance, and peer-review assessment.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of commercial, financial, institutional, political, or personal influence. The publisher, sponsors, advertisers, indexing status, article processing charges, waiver requests, or payment status do not influence editorial decisions.

The Editor-in-Chief and the editorial team have responsibility for the scholarly evaluation of submitted manuscripts and for maintaining the academic standards of the journal.

Role of the Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the overall editorial direction of the journal, the integrity of the peer-review process, the quality of published content, and the implementation of the journal's editorial and ethical policies.

The Editor-in-Chief may assign manuscripts to section editors, associate editors, editorial board members, or other qualified handling editors according to subject area, expertise, availability, and absence of conflicts of interest.

Role of Editors and Editorial Board Members

Editors and editorial board members are expected to handle manuscripts fairly, objectively, confidentially, and in accordance with the journal's policies. They should select qualified reviewers, evaluate reviewer reports, communicate editorial decisions, and ensure that submitted manuscripts meet appropriate scholarly and ethical standards.

Editors must not handle manuscripts where they have a conflict of interest. If a conflict exists, the manuscript should be assigned to another qualified editor or editorial board member.

Role of the Publisher

The publisher supports the journal by providing publication infrastructure, website maintenance, production support, administrative assistance, and long-term access to published content. The publisher does not interfere with editorial decisions or the academic judgment of editors and reviewers.

Confidentiality

Manuscripts submitted to the journal are treated as confidential documents. Editors, reviewers, editorial staff, and any person involved in the editorial process must not disclose information about a submitted manuscript to anyone who is not directly involved in the editorial or peer-review process.

Fairness and Non-discrimination

Manuscripts are evaluated on scholarly merit and relevance to the journal's scope. Editorial decisions must not be influenced by the authors' nationality, institutional affiliation, race, gender, religion, political views, personal characteristics, or other irrelevant factors.

Special Issues

Special issues, where applicable, must fall within the aims and scope of the journal. Proposals for special issues are evaluated by the editorial team. Manuscripts submitted to special issues are subject to the same editorial screening, peer-review process, ethical standards, and quality requirements as manuscripts submitted to regular issues.

Guest editors, if appointed, must follow the journal's editorial and ethical policies. The Editor-in-Chief or an assigned member of the editorial team retains oversight of special issue content and may intervene where necessary to ensure editorial integrity.

Editorial Board Information

The journal provides information about the editorial team, including names, affiliations, countries or regions, and available identifiers or contact information. Editorial board membership is reviewed periodically to ensure that the composition of the board remains appropriate to the journal's scope and publication activity.

The journal uses an online journal management and publishing system to support manuscript submission, editorial handling, peer review, publication, metadata management, and article access.

Article Processing Charges and Editorial Decisions

Article Processing Charges, where applicable, are considered only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication. Payment status, waiver requests, or financial considerations do not influence peer review or editorial decision-making.

Handling Concerns About Editorial Process

Concerns about editorial conduct, conflicts of interest, peer review, journal management, or publication ethics may be submitted to the editorial office. Concerns will be reviewed carefully and handled in accordance with the journal's policies.
